Ho ho ho! Christmas Comes early at Design Sojourn! (Updated 24 Dec)
My first ever Blog Meme, and one that is pretty good as well!
Getting a “tag your it!” from a fellow designer blogger AiAlone.com, I feel compelled to join in! Basically the idea is “Mack over at Viral Garden has started a little pyramid scheme to try and disrupt the technorati rankings. He thinks the Z-list bloggers need more love” and yes we all do!
The instructions are as follows:
What YOU can do is simply create a new post on your blog, but CUT AND PASTE the list I have below, and then ADD any blogs you feel aren’t getting their due either. It can be 1 blog, or a hundred(or none if you simply want to repost the same list), but the idea is, find those great blogs that, for whatever reason, you feel aren’t getting their due, link-wise.
Then after you leave your post, the next blogger will do the same thing, cut and paste YOUR list, and add THEIR blogs to the list, then repost it. Add the same instructions in your post that the next blogger should cut and paste YOUR list, and add any blogs they feel should be on it to THEIR list. The list will get increasingly long, and all the blogs will get a sort of reverse ‘pyramid-affect’ of link-love.
Here is the original list with quite a few designer blogs too!

I must say too also that I had Digg and Stumbleupon to help as well. Now I’m going to spread the love yet again! This is going to be the updated list of link love, some great blogs there I must say so myself.

December 17, 2006 at 9:16 amHah-hah, well point taken. But I must say, some of the blogs on the links are pretty good, so I suppose nice idea, but pood branding eh?
Well that teaches me to type (instead of talk) faster than I can think?

December 17, 2006 at 9:10 amY’know, I just got done reading someone’s A-List to Z-List explanation somewhere. The Z-List (aka “Zzzzz-List”) are the blogs supposedly written in the middle of the night; rife with typographical errors and full of stuff that mostly puts people to sleep.
Nice.
Now about not understanding stuff, it’s all about design. Just not directly. One of these days it’ll all coalesce.

December 17, 2006 at 9:02 amHi csven,
Well I suppose there is the A-List, the B-List…and the Z-List? Thats my guess and assumption.
Its about giving credit when its due, and its really about giving the unknown blogger some spotlight and perhaps some traffic, even though the original author intended it as a technorati breaker. But I think in spirit we are all there.
BTW I constantly lurk your blog, but rarly leave comments and I must admit I dont quite understand alot about what you write, but I usually take it a park it in one corner of my brain for later use.
And yes thanks for putting me on your “Links of the Moment” as I’m honored and thrilled that you have put me there.

December 17, 2006 at 8:50 amI didn’t include you in my post list, DT, because right now (and for some time now, actually), you’re the only design blog on my blogroll. You were in the body of the post, though.
That out of the way, I have to confess I’m not sure what the “Z-list” is. Please elaborate.

December 17, 2006 at 12:53 amWell, you have at least one other link now! And thank YOU for the link. Nice blog. I look forward to visiting again.

December 16, 2006 at 6:54 pmhahah, sad to say only from 2 other people, with you included. Guess the rest may view this as a spam or chain email and broke it!
Well it was fun while it lasted! 🙂

December 16, 2006 at 1:51 amTrackbacks are so nice. Neh DT have you got any links from this virus yet?
